Some Bridge, Somewhere
I found myself in between somewhere Arkansas and a bridge back several years ago after visiting my brother. I happily got lost into a quaint town and lovely bridge that held my destination back home on the other side. Though I had found myself in a place without predetermined thought, I was glad to be there and remember that few minutes as an enjoyment of my trip between Springdale, AR and Martin, TN.
“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
-Winnie the Pooh
There’s a vulnerable courage in declaring, “I shall not die, but live.” It echoes what Augustine once wrote: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” Rest doesn’t mean the absence of pain but that we found a place to stand within it.
The rejected stone becoming the cornerstone reminds us that what feels like failure or exclusion may actually be sacred groundwork. Henri Nouwen said, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” God doesn’t waste the broken parts.
“This is the day the Lord has made.” Not a perfect day. Just this one. And it’s enough.
So we step forward with open hands in this Easter season. We are grateful, not because everything is fixed, but because God is faithful.
Prayer for your Day
Lord, meet me in the middle of my story today. Give me courage to trust that nothing is wasted in Your hands. Amen.

This warms my heart Bryant and to know you encountered this feeling when coming back from a visit with Andrew . My prayer is that both of my sons experience this same peacefulness in your hearts and minds !
Comfort, fear and comfort! What a wonderful analogy in your special time, Bryant. It's nice to look back and see and feel God with us!
We've made that trip between Springdale and Martin a few times. Not lately! Thank you, Bryant
